A little carried away

Less than three days to catch Hope For Emilia in raising funds to help the earthquake victims in Italy restoring their lives.

Fellini Couture is among the 71 designers who have participated in this cause.  This stand out monochrome gown is so refine in its crafts and class that it conjures up sheer elegance to the wearer.  Designed by Ms Joy Fellini, a talented designer whom I have come to know a little better as I had the privilege to wear this exclusive outfit from the charity event and in absolute awe, I further went over to her main store to explore her other designs.      

I was fascinated when I arrived at Fellini Couture's main store.  Mind you, at that instance, any attempts to debate about Marketplace over inworld stores would have gone futile if one sees this store!  Its decor and setting overflows with the grandeur of fashion and art that are so breathtaking.

There is still hope for Emilia

ALB Dream Fashion and Modish are among the 71 designers who have participated in the Hope For Emilia event, raising fund for the earthquake victims in Italy.  They are the highlights of my blog post today.

The colourful outfit exhilarating to the eyes is a special set designed by AnaLee Balut where 100% profits goes to the victims. There are 7 items in the set - coat, pants, ballerina flats which are mesh, a corset top in 3 shirt layers and prim headband, arm bracelet and earrings.   I have put together two styles - the first photo is the original complete wear and the other is my own mix and match ensemble.

Let It Flow

I am often inspired by some fashion bloggers who have their very individual style and they wear what they want confidently regardless of whatever fashion 'rules', dos and don'ts.  And, there are also several creative and talented Second Life fashion designers whom I admire, though I haven't wear some of their designs because I feel that they are not me and I can't carry it off.  I am trying out something new today.  This isn't my regular style but I am enjoying it.

What is Hope For Emilia?

HOPE FOR EMILIA is an exciting event in Second Life that will last from July 22 to August 9, 2012 and will include a Summer Fashion Fair, fashion shows, an art expo and entertainment events to fundraise for the victims of earthquake in Emilia, Italy.

As most of the world is aware, the northern region of Italy has been hit by devastating earthquakes during the last several months.

The first earthquake, registering a magnitude of 6.1, struck in the Emilia-Romagna region, on May 20th of 2012.

Two aftershocks with a magnitude of 5.2 occurred a few hours after the main event, and seven people were killed.

Nine days later, on May 29th, an additional earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 struck the same area causing an additional eighteen deaths and widespread damage, particularly to buildings already weakened by the May 20th earthquake.

And again on June 3rd, 4th and 6th,  aftershocks struck the region, causing panic among terrified people, who still don’t know if this incubus is going to continue.

The damages of these earthquakes are terrible: 26 people died, and thousands are homeless, living in tents.  The whole economy of the country was brought to its knees.

“Hope for Emilia” aims to fundraise to help the many victims of the earthquakes: 100% of the funds raised with this event will be donated to victims of the earthquake through the bank account opened by Emilia-Romagna region (http://www.regione.emilia-romagna.it/terremoto/la-raccolta-fondi-della-regione-come-donare).
