Never Settle For A Single Beauty Standard

The title has said it loud and clear, so I did a totally different style today from my last post a few days ago.  It's a fun challenge putting together different style.  I'm not sure how many of my regular readers really like my style swings but I find myself enjoying it a great deal.   

This mesh tank and jeans which I'm wearing in the photo is an exclusive item from Legal Insanity for Pink Ribbon Fair.  The item is a bundle of girls and guys outfit.  For him, there is another t-shirt and jeans included.  From now until 25th August, selling for L$300 only at the Fair and all proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer.   

And people .... pink colour is not for babies and Barbies only!  Pink rocks too!!  Do you know P!nk?  She is the RL singer with gorgeous pink cropped hair and by far the only one I know who can pull it off!  And oh... she has some beautiful songs that I like very much too ... So What, Sober, Raise Your Glass, I Don't Believe You.... Two days ago, P!nk is named Cover Girl's new spokeswoman and we will be seeing a lot of her on Cover Girl's print ad.  So... get into the groove, girls!  Visit the Pink Ribbon Fair!

There is still hope for Emilia

ALB Dream Fashion and Modish are among the 71 designers who have participated in the Hope For Emilia event, raising fund for the earthquake victims in Italy.  They are the highlights of my blog post today.

The colourful outfit exhilarating to the eyes is a special set designed by AnaLee Balut where 100% profits goes to the victims. There are 7 items in the set - coat, pants, ballerina flats which are mesh, a corset top in 3 shirt layers and prim headband, arm bracelet and earrings.   I have put together two styles - the first photo is the original complete wear and the other is my own mix and match ensemble.

Let It Flow

I am often inspired by some fashion bloggers who have their very individual style and they wear what they want confidently regardless of whatever fashion 'rules', dos and don'ts.  And, there are also several creative and talented Second Life fashion designers whom I admire, though I haven't wear some of their designs because I feel that they are not me and I can't carry it off.  I am trying out something new today.  This isn't my regular style but I am enjoying it.

Legal Insanity Reaching Out To Give Hope For Emilia

Ciao! ......  is an Italian word which I once thought that it meant 'hello', but later I found out through my Italian friend in Second Life that it can also mean 'bye'.  

The closest I had experience anything Italian was its food.  I love pasta .... spaghetti, macroni, lasagna and ....  ravioli which is so hard to find in my local restaurants.  Then there are the desserts... tiramisu and gelato that I so love too.  And how could I forget the Italian coffee and wines which I enjoy a lot.  

Thanks to Second Life.  It has allow me to learn so much about other cultures in the world.  We are not the same, everyone is different, but .... we are one when it comes to giving hope and reaching out.

Legal Insanity is a fashion designer for men and women in Second Life.  It has donated this outfit which I am wearing, Summer Love, to raising fund to help the victims of earthquake in Italy through Hope For Emilia event.  There are 4 other colour options available - blue, green, yellow and pink.  All are also exclusive items   for Hope For Emilia.  100% of the funds raised in this event will be donated to the bank account opened by Emilia-Romagna region (http://www.regione.emilia-romagna.it/terremoto/la-raccolta-fondi-della-regione-come-donare).
