There is still hope for Emilia

ALB Dream Fashion and Modish are among the 71 designers who have participated in the Hope For Emilia event, raising fund for the earthquake victims in Italy.  They are the highlights of my blog post today.

The colourful outfit exhilarating to the eyes is a special set designed by AnaLee Balut where 100% profits goes to the victims. There are 7 items in the set - coat, pants, ballerina flats which are mesh, a corset top in 3 shirt layers and prim headband, arm bracelet and earrings.   I have put together two styles - the first photo is the original complete wear and the other is my own mix and match ensemble.

"As the purse is emptied, the heart is filled"

Today is the 5th day of Fashion For Life.  I finally finished going around 200 stores over 9 beautiful sims, hopped over to the live on stage event, took a few snapshots, played gachas on all the sims and bought some beautiful items.  So those are the damages to my pocket.  I have to remind myself to tighten up my belt for harder times ahead since I am jobless now.  It began to feel so real... drawing an income in Second Life then loosing it and now being extra careful with how I spend.  But as Victor Hugo, a 19th century French Poet, put it - "As the purse is emptied, the heart is filled".  So, spending on FFL purchase is sure feeling good and feeling right!

This soft, feminine, gorgeous skin which I am wearing in this picture is by MYDEAR Skins.  The owner, Marisa Feila has designed Hygeia skin make up 7 in five skin tones for FFL.  Hygeia also comes in six other make-ups.  The whole skin line is MYDEAR's newest release on 10th March, the same day Fashion For Life opened.

What is Fashion For Life about?

Fashion For Life is the fashion arm of the Relay For Life movement in Second Life supporting the American Cancer Society.

Visitors to Fashion For Life event, can expect ...

• more than 200 stores spread over 10 sims;  
• gacha area in all sims with 10L - 100L each play for a transferable item;
• a hunt item priced at 10L - 100L in some stores;
• raffles at 100L for one chance or 250L for three chances, to win one of the great prizes.

Yesterday Once More

Some of the best fashion are not born on the catwalk, it was said.  The accessories adorned are the icing that sets the style alight.  Perhaps this best described the classic elegant midi length grey dress designed by Ms. Jada Humby from J.H. Couture.  Simple fine cut, high quality texture and the best thing is, this is a mesh dress.

Cute?!

I was being called cute a few times in the past.  I used to feel funny being called that way.  What I knew was, "cute" is used to call babies, young kids or puppies and animals, something dainty and tiny that makes you want to  hold them, cuddle them, pat them, pinch their cheeks or something that puts a sweet smile on your face!  Then, I found out that 'cute' in American can be used to describe good looking adult ladies and men too.  So now I am trying to get used to it and put on a grin whenever someone calls me cute.

In this picture below, I am wearing a sexy dress with quality textures.  This two-tone dress is AVALE's latest release, named Laylla.  It comes in all clothing layers which is very interesting, I think, because with some creativity, it can be worn in more than one way and different style.  Laylla is sold in 5 colour options.
