Modest

There is something I really love about this hair and this dress, and the whole look!  I can't seem to find the words for it.  Plain Jane?  .... I don't think so.  May be ... a modest charming feminine look.  I think a lot of times in Second Life, too many of us are probably over-dressed, trying to showcase too much, too perfect, too expensive, and probably to the extend of trying to outdo, outshine one another.  Being able to dress down and look gorgeous without the big brands could become quite a challenge.

About this dress

This is a new mesh dress named Eva from Kanou.  Eva comes in 6 colours and this one I'm wearing is pink/blue.  You may get the demo from Marketplace and try all the 6 colours in it.

Ready For Love?

It's the 11th day of Lunar New Year today and I'm back for a little blogging then I'll be off for another week.  This has been the most tiring celebration for me.  Chinese celebrate the new year for 15 days and during these 15 days, Chinese New Year greetings, lion dances and firecrackers are still seen and heard, children and unmarried adults are still receiving the customary red packets containing money from married adults.

The festivity marks an end on the 15th day with big feasts and big bangs.  On this day, there is a popular event being organized by some communities in my country for single individuals who seek for love.  Single women would write their names and telephone numbers on the mandarin oranges and throw it in the river or lake and the single men would randomly pick one as an indication of possible love.

Missy

"Aquarius woman manages to etch out a different philosophy in the society, breaking the standard norms and rules of femininity." ....

"Don't pin an Aquarius woman down to a stereotype because she will more than likely buck all expectations and be exactly what you do not expect her to be.  More than anything, she is the ultimate non-conformist."....

Those were the lines I read in many horoscope articles.  With that in mind, I attempted to make a shape with this lovely skin from Swan.  I started with emphasis on her face, visualising her eyes, lips and nose, avoiding the few parts that I have seen so often -  narrow beady eyes and thick full "frowning" lips.  And finally I made her wear a cropped hair.  Voila!  Here she is .... my "Miss Aquarius"!

I am always so fascinated with the way every skin looks on every shape, and vice versa.  This velvety fine skin which I am wearing is Natasha in cream tone by Swan Skin.  Natasha is Swan's newest skin sold in four skin tones (cream, fair, ivory and tan) and of course there is also a fatpack for all four skin tones.  Each tone includes seven make-up styles and two breast styles.  Demo is available at the store for free.
I have put out this shape made by me on Marketplace for sale with copy and modify permissions.  The shape looks best with Swan's Natasha skin.  It will be available for a limited time only.  I hope this will help to support my journey in Second Life.  Your support is much appreciated.  Thank you.

Gravity

Seen on the picture above, I am wearing Swan's Glamour Skinline - Lucy, in cream tone.  Lucy comes in five skin tones, besides cream the other tones are fair, ivory, noire and tan.  Every tone includes six makeups and two breast styles.  Lucy is one of the two skins in Glamour line by Swan and it is also my second Swan skin.  I love both so much that I was torn choosing one of them to be my regular skin!!

Citysphere
Issac Newton saw an apple fell from a tree and thought deeply about it.  Why things fall downward and not out to the moon?  His great insight led him to discover the Law of Gravity.

I have just visited Citysphere in Second Life which is a floating sphere city, well of course, that is how the name Citysphere came about.  You may find yourself against gravity if you don't follow the 'law' which is simply click the ground to get a red cube and sit on it, then walk.  Now, can you imagine walking on a sphere?   This very cool city is said to have 132 buildings erected on it and here is the challenge.... attempt to count the numbers of buildings on it if walking around the city has not got you giddy and nausea yet!  Thanks to the builder of Citysphere, Freeloops Zanzibar and the walk scriptor, Slove Mode, for the splendid work! Please do not miss it, the exhibit runs throughout the month only.  Take the landmark at the bottom of my post.

Original snapshot of me at Citysphere

It was not easy to take a good snapshot at Citysphere but it was really fun!  I have spent two days to finish exploring, walking, and photo shooting on the sim.  I then edited and rotated the original picture to the one below to showcase my outfits precisely.
