Small Gestures Of Love

I received a small gesture of love today.  Simple, tiny, but a big pleasant surprise.  One that exceeds expectation.  Doing something small in a different way can truly brighten someone else's day.  It doesn't have to take a lot of time, it doesn't have to take a lot of money.  All it takes is kind thoughts and love.  Thank you, Shannon Byron....

It's Up To Me

In the past one month, I've been walking around with emotions on an extreme plane.  Too inspired, too assured, too hopeful, too confident, too eager, too frustrated, too upset, too disappointed, too disgusted ....

If the change yearned by not just one alone but by the masses, if everyone has prayed so hard, if everyone has stick together so faithfully, if everyone has given their all, yet the change didn't happen .... will people throw in the towels and everything be status quo again?  Not just yet, because in their desperate struggle and pain, the people are awakened!

My Picks Of The Day

I'm most happy when I could find a perfect sim to make some wonderful snapshots in the clothes I want to blog!  And this is that fulfilling day!  I was all dressed up and ready to explore a wonderful sim, when I found Hazardous.  I teleported over to the sim and arrived on tiled floor in the sky, clicked on one of those loose tiles which has a funny animation and saw myself falling from the sky to the ground.  The sim has its own regional windlight setting which makes it a perfect sim to totally enjoy the creator's work!

I was all dressed up, ready to go out and make some shots as usual. My looks today is a bit youthful and so I decided to drop by at Almost Wonderland which was a darker inspiration from Alice In Wonderland, as said.  It's a dark, creepy but colourful fantasy with weird plants that has eyes staring at you.  Watch your  steps when you walk around and be careful not to walk into a Dragon Jaws Plant, as I had, which was laying on the dark path unnoticeable.  But if you are adventurous and fearless, go visit Almost Wonderland, find the Dragon Jaws Plant and see what happens...

Let's Relay For Life!

Hope is for all who love life and its endless possibilities, let's relay for life fashionably at Fashion For Life in Second Life.  Though Second Life is a online 3D virtual world entirely built by its residents/avatars/virtual people/people like you and me, there are people from all over the world coming together virtually for real life charity events and Fashion For Life is only one of them.  Isn't this wonderful?

I am showcasing three beautiful outfits here by Legal Insanity and 100% of these sales proceeds will go to Relay For Life for raising funds for American Cancer Society.  Please visit Legal Insanity's store at the event venue here.

A New Chapter

Happy New Year, everyone!  I have made a few changes to start 2013.  A new layout design on my blog, and a new skin, which I will be using regularly.  Looking all fresh now with renewed hopes that there will be better things to come!

I am keeping the colour purple on my blog again, but in various shades this time.  Why?  Because I like lavenders, I like amethyst crystals, I like eggplants and the only dinosaur I like is Barney!   

Now, have a look at this photo....  That's me in my new skin!  I adore this skin so much, it fits beautifully on my shape without any modifications and it's my favourite so far.  Thank you, Natsuki Bailey!  <3

Legal Insanity has released this Winter Chic Turtleneck mesh dress collection which comes ten colour choices.  I am wearing the tan colour in the photos below.  I snapped these pictures at a sim named Amsterdam on Nirans Viewer.  I switched from Firestorm to Nirans and I could see the big difference while wandering at the sim.  

I took my time walking around the sim trying to find any buildings which I have seen in real life many years ago.  It didn't take me too long to see that familiar building, Central Station.  Why... this is one of the real life buildings in the city which I could not miss.  I took the train out of the city my times while holidaying in Amsterdam.   I remember when I left Amsterdam after my holidays, I have said in my heart that I would visit it again one day.  Now I wish that, that one day will be this Spring when the tulips are blooming and have a taste or two of the yellow gold cheese at Alkmaar market.

The Sydney Fashion Week will showcase different statements from casual chic to avant garde. Inspired by the wonderful and sophisticated ambiance of the inspired SYDNEY Harbour along with its extravagant and iconic landmarks. This event will focus on the impressive architecture brought to life through the collections that will walk on the runway.  We also had a very generous sponsorship of a huge cruise ship made by Aymec Millet which  is a  is multistory build of delight containing several theaters, bedrooms, and night clubs

There will be three stages. The opening show and the finale show will be held on a very artistic interpretation of the iconic Sydney Opera House. These shows will open with a short performance by the fantastic Australian Guerilla Burlesque.

One of IMA’s objectives to promote the fantastic sl fashion industry within the Australian community.    The buildings and features of the Sydney Harbour sim has been inspired by the iconic buildings of the Sydney Harbour.  Some shows will be showcased in fantastic high fashion runway .  The 17 shows will be executed over the magical bora bora water and guests will be seated on either of the IMA boats or yachts or sitting in the high couture runway.  All guests can also hop on any of the provided windsurfers and sail around the sim and the festivities.  Pick up an exclusive IMA Inc Sydney Fashion Week item or find the free treasurers on the sim.

Never Settle For A Single Beauty Standard

The title has said it loud and clear, so I did a totally different style today from my last post a few days ago.  It's a fun challenge putting together different style.  I'm not sure how many of my regular readers really like my style swings but I find myself enjoying it a great deal.   

This mesh tank and jeans which I'm wearing in the photo is an exclusive item from Legal Insanity for Pink Ribbon Fair.  The item is a bundle of girls and guys outfit.  For him, there is another t-shirt and jeans included.  From now until 25th August, selling for L$300 only at the Fair and all proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer.   

And people .... pink colour is not for babies and Barbies only!  Pink rocks too!!  Do you know P!nk?  She is the RL singer with gorgeous pink cropped hair and by far the only one I know who can pull it off!  And oh... she has some beautiful songs that I like very much too ... So What, Sober, Raise Your Glass, I Don't Believe You.... Two days ago, P!nk is named Cover Girl's new spokeswoman and we will be seeing a lot of her on Cover Girl's print ad.  So... get into the groove, girls!  Visit the Pink Ribbon Fair!

Compulsive Shopping Is A Disorder (CSD)?

Most women love shopping, and so do I. Sometimes buying new things give me a euphoric feeling.  Occasionally I will reward myself by breaking my budget to buy something I really love and want.  But, to think of myself of having CSD is totally out of the issue.   Quite often I would comment about something beautiful but walk away without buying it.  I know what are the must-haves and nice-to-haves.  I will never feel intensely deprived or upset if I put off buying something.  Shops will not like me, for sure. 

I went gaga when I saw this top!  Turquoise is one of my favourite colours and I love this design!  I am one who would always buy any rare colour outfits.  This ensemble I'm wearing is a mix and match of turquoise top, white mini skirt and a pair of colourful leggings.

In The Sun

Why do parents dress up twins the same?

Twins already look alike, why do many people dress them the same?    Shouldn't they have their own identities?  At least, it would be easier to tell them apart. If twins own different outfits, they could share each other's wardrobe and this could save much more money than buying everything in double. ..... I am really curious....

I haven't blog for quite a bit now.  The hot and humid weather at 37 degree celcius has made it quite impossible to sit for longer hours in front of the pc working or enjoy SL without sweating.  It just killed the fun.  Just today, my bff (she's not my twins) called me and told me about this store.  When two lass go shopping together, it's very likely that they would end up buying the same thing.  But then, the good thing is, this delicate top comes in a choice of 10 colours!  It looks pretty! .... and 'feels' great ....  in a hot weather wearing light!  It's quite hard to separate rl and sl feelings, you know.

Here I am ... wearing another new skin that I love sooo much!  It's from MyDear.  This is the 3rd skin I have from MyDear and all of them fit my shape like custom made!  This MyDear's Grette Skin is high quality and realistic!!  Of course, it doesn't come with a beauty mole.  :)))

The top and pants which I am wearing are mix and match mesh items from J.H. Couture.  These, too, are fabulous.... the very fine knits texture is so high quality that makes me feel its warmth against my real life skin!  The other non-mesh items I am wearing in this picture are my hair and shoes.

I discovered my PC can no longer run the newer versions of Firestorm viewer or Linden Lab viewer.  After more than 3 years following each upgrades, I've come to a standstill at version 3.2.1.  The only solution for me is to upgrade my hardware, but I can't be sure if I will get crashes then.  What I have now is quite enough... few crashes and my snapshot images are not too bad.  So... until I can afford to upgrade my hardware, this is it!
